A Family Retreat at Royal Hotel - Clacton On SeaDuring our recent family vacation to Clacton On Sea, we stayed at the Royal Hotel, and it offered a nice blend of comfort and accessibility for family travelers. Our room, equipped with a hot tub, provided a chance for relaxation after our daily adventures exploring the seafront just a two-minute walk away. The balcony was a delightful spot for evening unwinding, a great pause to soak in the view. While the breakfast selection was enjoyable and the staff were accommodating during our stay, we did face some challenges. The noise from nearby clubs was disruptive at night, affecting our family's sleep. Though the house cleaning service was reliable, the bathroom could have benefitted from more frequent attention. Royal Hotel serves well for young couples and those seeking a lively atmosphere but falls short for families like ours with a child in tow. With convenient nearby dining options and family-friendly amenities like DVD players in the room, it remains a solid choice for families.
